A Well-being Check

Our Specialist Sonographers start every scan with a limited fetal well-being check. They will confirm single or multiple pregnancy and check the baby/babies are growing as expected (subjectively). They will show baby’s position & placenta, confirm & visualise the heart, observe the abdominal contents & brain, as well as detect a limited number of conditions.

Important Information

You can bring additional guests to your 4D + Fetal Well-being Scan. You can visit us for your 4D baby scan from 24-34 weeks. Please ensure that you come to the clinic well hydrated with a comfortably full bladder as this can sometimes help the sonographer when trying to get good 4D pictures of baby. We recommend 1-2 glasses of water an hour before. Please bring your hospital notes from previous appointments in case our Sonographer needs to refer to them. We recommend the best time for 4D is between 26-30 weeks. For multiple pregnancies we recommend visiting us from 22 – 26 weeks. Had my gender scan with window to the womb and i am very happy with the experience. As its my third baby I took my two children with and they loved the experience too. The staff were lovely and welcoming, I’m just glad me and my children can hold on to these experiences and memories. Will defo recommend for anyone wanting to go for a private scan, its very detailed and reassuring. Thank you window to the womb (Walthamstow)

From start to finish perfect service
From start to finish perfect service, the lady on reception was extremely friendly and helpful, to the entering the scan both the sonographer and the chaperone were brilliant. Was also one of the best value we found in the borough. Even the extras were a fair price. This was an amazing experience, made better by helpful friendly staff. You get 6 free print outs with the package we choose, a free gift for baby, and all the pictures and videos of the scan sent to your email.

So so so welcoming
So so so welcoming . The receptionist went through the whole process before entering the room as well as going through my package again . The whole way through the scan everything was explained answered any questions I had or my friends had and as I was having a gender reveal scan I had to close my eyes and they were great with that too.

We had the most wonderful experience at Window to the Womb for our gender reveal and FirstPeek scan. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel completely at ease. The sonographer was absolutely lovely—so patient, gentle, and genuinely attentive throughout the entire scan. It felt like they truly cared about making the experience special for us. The whole atmosphere was calm and comforting, and we left feeling so happy and reassured.

The staff at window to the womb are so lovely. They always make me feel comfortable and reassured. Trying to find out the gender of my baby was tricky to say the least as baby didn’t want to play ball but they were so unbelievably patient and I’m so grateful for my lovely experience

Amazing experience
The people at the Livingston branch are all super friendly and went out of their way to make the experience great for every family member I brought with me. Super informative and professional throughout, I’d recommend that every pregnant woman consider doing this experience if they can!

My whole experience from start to…
My whole experience from start to finish was as magical as I had hoped it would be. I was made to feel really welcome from the minute I arrived, everything was explained to me perfectly. The sonographer was very gentle and so thoroughly in the know, everything I asked him he explained in full detail. I cannot recommend enough and I will be coming back for another 4D scan in a few months as I just cannot get over how special the whole scan was. 5 stars all round and thank you xx

Amazing, Lovely & Welcoming
Everyone at Window to the Womb was so lovely & welcoming! I felt so at ease & comfortable throughout from the waiting area, to the scan, to when I left. It was also so lovely to have my family, partner & best friend there to witness the scan altogether… It made the experience that bit more special! Thank you WTTW, I’ll definitely be back again!

Early reassurance scan and gender scan
We have been for an early reasurance scan and a gender reveal. Both times greeted with lovely smiles and kindness when we walked in. Both times we had Anthony and Charlotte do our scan and they were the most lovely people and made the experience so special for us. They talked through things in such detail and were so reassuring. I really couldn’t recommend window to the womb Southampton enough. I will look forward to booking our 4d scan in later in my pregnancy!
