Important Information

Please note the primary aim of this scan is to complete a limited diagnostic check of the baby *Percentage longer is measured against our Well-being + 4D Scan. Please note we only scan you long enough to achieve the purpose of the pregnancy ultrasound scan.

Our 4D + Well-being scans use the latest in ultrasound technology, offering a unique glimpse into your baby’s unprotected world. Available from 24-34 weeks, your 4D baby scan will always begin with a full well-being check of baby in a 2D view. Our fully qualified sonographers will then show you baby in 4D. Our clinics offer an all-inclusive range of 4D scans. Watch the video below to see the difference between 2D/3D/4D & HDlive scans.

Please ensure that you come to the clinic well hydrated with a comfortably full bladder as this can sometimes help the sonographer when trying to get good 4D pictures of baby. Being hydrated allows plenty of fluid around baby, helping with the overall quality of your 4D scan. Please bring your hospital notes from previous appointments in case our Sonographer needs to refer to them. You can also read more about what to expect at your 4D + well-being scan experience here.

We recommend the best time for 4D is between 26-30 weeks. If you have an anterior placenta, 26-28 weeks to ensure there’s plenty of room for baby to move. For multiple pregnancies we recommend visiting us from 22 – 26 weeks.
