Who Is This Scan For?

Our NIPT Standard package offers an early and safe way to screen for Down’s syndrome, Edward’s & Patau’s syndrome. This test is suitable from just 10 weeks. A single blood sample from the mother is all that’s required, and results are available within 7 working days. For added reassurance, early pregnancy scans can be arranged to provide dating and peace of mind alongside the blood test.

Important Information

Window to the Womb have partnered with firstScan to offer a range of prenatal blood testing. From as early as 10 weeks you can screen for a range of genetic disorders. Early pregnancy scans are also available in additional to your blood test for dating and reassurance. firstScan is led by an expert team of Consultants, Diagnostic Sonographers, Midwives and Nurse Specialists to ensure a professional, safe and discreet environment is provided. All packages are designed to suit individual pregnancy requirements built with Mum in mind.

Your blood test will be sent off to our laboratory and your results will be back with you within 7 working days.

Please ensure that you come to the clinic well hydrated. If you have a known phobia of needles or blood then it is advisable to bring a friend or family member with you and let the clinic team know beforehand.

You can book your early pregnancy scan from just 6 weeks then a further appointment at 10 weeks for your blood test. Your dates are calculated based on LMP or two weeks following your first positive test if you have irregular cycles.
